The attack originated from Indian IP addresses, significantly disrupting the website's operations. Networks operated by Reliance Jio and Airtel, two of India's largest telecom providers, were identified as sources of the malicious traffic.

Response to the Attack

Efforts to resolve the issue with Reliance Jio and Airtel have not been fruitful, leading GSMArena.com to block a large portion of the 35 million IP addresses from India. This measure, although extreme, is necessary to maintain the website's availability worldwide. Users in India affected by these blocks are advised to use VPN services to access the site.

Current Status and Apology

The website's management team has issued an apology for the inconvenience caused to its users and is actively working towards a permanent solution. Thankfully, the cyber attacks have ceased, and GSMArena.com should now be accessible from all over India.
